# Kei Truck Project: Delivering Snacks via RC ![[PXL_20260127_165240805 (1).jpg]] I got an RC truck for the holidays. It’s a Japanese pickup-inspired truck with working headlights. I bought it purely for the fun of it after seeing a video online. I wanted to connect with the childhood whimsy of RC trucks, but I wanted a specific mission: driving it around the house to deliver snacks to Justin and Pongo without being in the same room. To make this work, I needed a first-person view (FPV) so I could navigate from a different room. ### The Build I bought a compact remote camera that streams over Wi-Fi. Mounting it to the toy truck without damaging it was the main challenge. **The Mounting Solution** - The driver compartment is hollow, so I used magnets. I slipped magnets inside the cab, directly under the roof, and they held the camera firmly in place through the plastic. **The Fix** The plastic surface was slippery, causing the camera to spin on the magnet when the truck turned. I added a dab of mounting putty between the camera and the roof to stop the rotation. ### The Result It works. The feed is clear, the mount is stable, and the truck now delivers snacks. It is surprisingly fun to drive it down the hallway and surprise them from ankle-height. ![[Pasted image 20260127214602.jpg|400]]!
